TaapDarshak |
Overview |
“Taapdarshak” is a non-contact infra-red radiation based wall mounted automatic temperature measuring instrument which can measure skin temperature of a person who is in close proximity of within 10 cm distance from the instrument.
This instrument can be used for thermal screening of employees entering their place of work. It has the advantage of automatically measuring the temperature without human intervention thus help in maintaining social distance between security person and employees and fulfill one of the requirement of thermal screening of employees in COVID-19 situation while entering the organization.
User interface is provided in the form of Graphical LCD fordisplay of temperature value in degree Fahrenheit and Green/Red LEDs to indicate the measured temperature is below or above 98.6°F. With each measurement a buzzer sound is also alarmed to indicate completion of measurement.

 Temperature measuring instrument |
Detail Technical Brochure |
“Taapdarshak” is a non-contact infra-red radiation based automatic temperature measuring instrument which can measure skin temperature of a person who is in close proximity of 15 cm from the instrument.
A thermopile detector in the instrument senses the infrared radiation emitted by human body and converts it into proportional voltage. The inbuilt thermistor in the detector compensates for ambient temperature variation. Theoutput voltage of detector is read by a microcontroller based circuit which converts it into corresponding temperature. An optical proximity sensor driven by microcontroller detects the presence of a person. Arduino AtMega 2560 microcontroller is used for ease of programming and multiple interface availability. User interface is provided in the form of Graphical LCD display for temperature value and Green/Red LEDs to indicate the measured temperature is below or above 98.6°F. With each measurement a buzzer sound is also alarmed to indicate completion of measurement. While only single beep sound is played if the temperature is below 98.6°F along with glow of Green LED, there is 5 beep sound for temperature above 98.6°F and glow of RED LED.
This instrument can be used for thermal screening of employees entering their place of work. It has the advantage of automatically measuring the temperature without human intervention thus help in maintaining social distance between security person and employees and fulfill one of the requirement of thermal screening of employees in COVID-19 situation while entering the organization.
