RESEARCH REACTOR SERVICES DIVISION
Research Reactor Services Division (RRSD) provides technical services for safe, smooth and efficient operation of research reactors at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay. The divisional mandate includes:
- Design / development / modification / up-gradation of various Systems, Structures & Components (SSCs)
- In-Service Inspection of SSCs using NDT techniques
- Material Testing and quality assurance services for fabrication jobs undertaken in Reactor Group
- Condition monitoring of roto-dynamic equipment
- Sampling, analysis and monitoring of chemistry parameters of various reactor process systems
- Compliance to Safety Committee recommendations
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of significant events
- Technical audit and QA checks during execution of safety critical jobs
- Performance evaluation and Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) of research reactors
- Training, Licensing and Qualification of Reactor Group Staff.
