ON LINE SET POINT SERVO SYSTEM (OLSPSS)

On line set point servo system (OLSPSS) provides facility to test trip points of plant safety system by servoing the input signals around the set point strictly one at a time. It provides steering facility to connect a floating current source to triplicated different inputs of one channel of the system under test (SUT). The SUT input current is modified such that the field loop current remains unchanged. The output leads are connected across 4-20mA terminators of the SUT. This automated system aids the plant maintenance, as wiring need not be disconnected to calibrate or to test safety signals. This system avoids fear of wrong connections and loose connections after the plant maintenance, thus increases the safety & availability of the plant.
