Image analysis is the science of extracting information from the sample or their photographs observed using suitable optoelectronic/ electronic instruments. It has applications in many fields like materials science, quality assurance, machine vision, biomedicine, security etc.
This system consists of a B/W T.V. camera as the imaging device, a video frame grabber to acquire a digitized image, an IBM PC/XT to process and analyse the acquired image and colour monitor for image display. a picture can be digitized and stored in the frame grabber memory in just one field period of the camera. Once grabbed, the picture can be improved in quality and analyzed by various image processing and analysis functions provided in the software.
The technology being offered is only for the video frame grabber comprising of two card set plug compatible into the PC slots and associated software for image processing and analysis applications.
