Handheld Tele-ECG Instrument for Rural Health Care
Handheld Tele-ECG is a low cost, handheld and compact machine. It is operated and controlled with a mobile phone or laptop/desktop via bluetooth and thus has mobile as well as LAN connectivity. In the hospital environment it can be used with LAN connection and in rural area with mobile phone for sending ECG of the patient to the expert. Because of mobile connectivity it is ideally suited for rural health services, as the expert’s opinion can be obtained as soon as the ECG is recorded and corrective steps can immediately be taken. This saves crucial time, which is otherwise lost in transporting the patient to the nearest cardiac care center.
