About SESTEC-2018

The Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) sponsored Eighth Biennial Symposium on “Emerging Trends in Separation Science and Technology (SESTEC-2018)” will be organized by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in association with the Department of Chemistry, BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus & The Association of Separation Scientists and Technologists (ASSET) during May 23 - 26, 2018 at BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, Zuarinagar, Goa, India. The objective of SESTEC-2018 is to provide a forum to scientists and engineers to discuss the recent advances in the area of separation science and technology covering the following scope:
A. Separations in nuclear fuel cycle
B. Membrane science and technology
C. Treatment of industrial effluents
D. Chromatography and pyrochemical separations
E. Computational chemistry in separation science
F. Radiochemical separations
G. Green separations
H. Speciation studies

The scientific programme of the symposium will include Invited talks by eminent Indian and overseas scientists / engineers. Contributed papers will be presented in Oral and Poster sessions. There will be a special session on “Speciation of Radionuclides in the Environment”.

Abstract Submission

Papers based on original unpublished work will only be accepted. The length of the abstract should be limited to one page including figures, tables and references (Download Template).
