Bhabha Atomic Research Centre DAE in association with BRNS will be organizing a conference under the thematic title of "Indigenous Nuclear Fuel Program in India: Achievements, Status and Prospects (INFPIN – 2019)" at the DAE Convention Centre, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai from 31st January to 2nd February, 2019. The scope of the conference covers wide range of scientific and engineering activities starting from exploration of nuclear minerals, mining & milling, nuclear refining, fuel design & manufacturing, characterisation, quality control and more.

This conference is being organised on the 60th anniversary of the first nuclear grade uranium metal ingot production in India way back in January, 1959. The purpose of the conference is to create a common platform to discuss the various technological achievements in the field, status and activities of present and also the strategy and planning for the future. It will create an excellent opportunity for the researchers and professionals working in diversified fields to discuss their expertise, achievements and challenges on a common platform and also to interact with the national level experts.

It is also expected that the conference may create a base for wide range for scientific, technical and industrial collaborations among the researchers, scientists, designers and professionals from various participant institutes of the DAE and aided institutes.

How To Reach

Anushaktinagar, is located at Trombay in the north-eastern part of the Mumbai city, which is well connected to the other parts of India and to the rest of the world. Participants arriving by train should alight at Dadar, Mumbai Central, Mumbai CSMT, Kurla LTT, or Bandra Terminus railway stations. Anushaktinagar is about 30 km from Mumbai CSMT and less than 30 km from the other terminals. Those travelling by flights will arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International / Domestic airport which are about 20 km from venue. Delegates coming by flights are advised to take taxi from pre-paid taxi service windows at the airports. Anushaktinagar is also approachable by the harbour branch of local trains. Those availing the local train should alight at Mankhurd(2.0 kms from the venue) and take an auto rickshaw from there for reaching the DAE Convention Center located in Anushaktinagar.
